OK, it’s three weeks into the new year. Did you make any New Year’s resolutions, and if so, how are you doing with them?

Only 9% of Americans make resolutions and keep them. 23% quit by the end of the first week. 43% more quit by the end of January. There is actually a “Quitters Day”, January 17 every year, when over half our resolutions collectively have vaporized.

What, according to USA Today this month, are the eight most popular American resolutions, in order?

  1. Exercise more
  2. Eat healthier
  3. Lose weight
  4. Save more money
  5. Spend more time with friends and family
  6. Spend less time on social media
  7. Reduce job stress
  8. Reduce spending on living expenses

 

 

And what two resolutions are abandoned first for most of us by Quitters Day?

Exercise more and eat healthier.

Just sayin’. Most of us need help maintaining healthy bodies year-round.
